a/c switch question 200

The a/c compressor on my '91 240 wagon won't come on when I turn on the switch. The switch doesn't even light up when I flip it to "on." Should I pull the switch and do some testing on it or is there something else that occurs more often on these?

Most of my 240's have had the older rotary style switch that operates the a/c.
