95 940 Headlight lenses came loose, repair ideas? 900

Have read FAQs thoroughly, and about 3 months after lightly buffing the yellowing headlight lenses on my 1995 940 sedan with Mother's Aluminum Polish, BOTH of the lenses have come completely loose. After burning several bulbs, a closer look uncovered the problem.

Any ideas or experience on what product (silicone, glue, etc) is best for reinstalling the headlight lenses?
