I had a tie rod end replaced at my last inspection.
After that I figured it would be a good time to have the car aligned.
Brought it to a front end shop with a very sophisticated computer alignment machine. They called me a day later and said that they could not proceed because of worn control arm bushings. I had them replaced and the car was aligned all was good and the cost not to bad $190. I had them get the bushings at IPD after they told me VOLVO wanted $180 for the parts.
The car drives great, tracks true, steering wheel is straight, no more banging over bumps, pretty much like a new car accept;
Whlie exiting a highway the other day (I mostly use this car around town only) I noticed as i banked left on the ramp at about 45 MPH the passanger side front wheel had a significant shimmy. Kind of a thumping woble.
Not a brake thing because I did not have the brakes on. It does not happen at all around town, only at high speed.
I noticed upon looking over the print out the front end shop gave me, that the right front Caster seems to be out of Spec. 2.9deg.(In a red box)where the left front is at 3.55deg.(In a green box)
Any ideas?
