Difficulty mounting my centre support brace. 200

I broke my centre support a few months ago, I made a licorice stick of the crossbrace, and popped the bushing out. Apparently it's caused by a lot of punishment on the driveline, similar to what I administer.

Here's the original post from when I broke it.

Anyway, I'd just moved back to Sydney and didn't have a job, so I just left it up on stands for three months and probably saved a thousand on fuel in the meantime. Two weeks ago I put in a new crossbrace, and was unable to get all the bolts to thread. The bolt threads ok without the brace in the way, but seems very difficult to line up when actually mounting the part. I'm wondering if I've actually warped the mounting point, and if so how I might go about remedying this. I'm a little edgey driving on just three bolts.

I'm guessing that what's on the other side is a piece of steel plate with a thread machined in it, welded in place. The PITA is that because it's a van, there's a steel load floor above the driveline tunnel which eliminates access from the top.

I'm going to have another go at getting that bolt re-mounted this week, but if it needs re-aligning, what should I do? Put a long bolt in place, then use that to bend it? Drill out some of the crossbrace to go in at a different angle, then mount the bolt with a very hard washer?

A smart bomb. The bomb teaches Shakespearean sonnets, ancient cuneiform, relativity, and the Tibetan language. It may know other things. It has no tolerance for rudeness, so ask nicely.
