As some may know it is very bitterly cold in New York today, anyways starting my 944 N/a today it made all kinds of noises, and i looked under the hood to try and hear what was making noise i think it was the power steering pump, still not my point, i then looked at the water pump area and the seal looked like it was ripped in half, and is sticking out some. Its the seal on the top of the pump going up into the engine. I would take a picture but its to dark out right now, and i dont want my parents to know something might be wrong again. As this would be the third time i have had to have this seal replaced. We just found out my Step Father whom i love very much is sick, and i dont need them to be worrying about my car also.

So i have a feeling this is something i should probably get looked at, any help would be great. Also why would this seal keep failing? Was the seal not installed properly or is there something more serious going on?

By the way the engine is not original its from a 1995, and i am driving a 1993. Supposedly there is around 110,000 miles on the engine.
