antifreeze on back of engine 745T 700 1991

I have a 91 745T with about 115k showing on the odo.
It was a one owner car, and nothing has ever been done to it.
I have a leak on the water pump that I'm going to take care of when ever it get's to a reasonable temperature outside. That antifreeze is running down the passenger side of the engine, way up front.

While looking the engine over, I noticed antifreeze stain and wet, on the top of the block at the transimssion interface, from 12 oclock, and then running down the passenger side of the engine. I looked with a mirror and light, and can't see where it's coming from. There's a hose to metal tube connectin there that looks tight, the hoses are dry. The heater valve seems to be dry. I can't seem to get a good look at the head to block interface.

Is there a freeze plug in the back of the head that could be leaking?
Is it a common head gasket leak place back there?
Is there something else back there that could be leaking?

It's pretty minor, and the car is no beauty, so I'm not doing a head gasket for a minor leak, but if it's something that can be done in an hour or two, I'd like to fix it when I do the water pump.
