when/where/how to use dielectric grease (?) 200

Hey all,
I'll be performing a minor "tune-up" on my '93 244 this weekend (hopefully), including plugs, wires, cap and rotor. My question is this: when/where/how should I be using the dielectic grease I bought (CRC brand, although brands probably don't matter)? Where should I not be using it? And, what it its function?
Thanks...
