inserting key turns on buzzer and it won't go off... grrrrr 700 1989

So today after getting the car running again post head gasket replacement I insert the key and the intermittent buzzer won't shut off unless I remove the key...

I suspect the ignition switch as I have had to wiggle it to get the radio and headlights to work for some time now. Anyone had this problem??
