No power with O2 sensor connected???? 200

I lost almost all power the other day. Limped home at a top speed of 25mph. Wouldn't run above an idle. Had a 121 code. After replacing the AMM and cleaning the throttle body didn't help, I found that when I disconnecting the two-wire connector (didn't touch the single green wire) to the O2 sensor, the car ran great. I'm guessing that I have a bad O2 sensor, but could it be anything else???? Thanks
