Car is a 83 240 turbo. When on the intermittent wiper setting, they operated as if on the normal speed. Whether they would park or not was unpredictable regardless of the setting. Sometimes, I had to turn the ignition off to make them stop. I had two spare intermittent wiper relays, one a Volvo brand (same part number as the original one in the car) and the other a Geman make, KAE, from FCPGroton, both previously unused and had odd results when I tried these out. With the Volvo relay, no response when in intermittent. With the KAE, the wipers operated as if on the normal setting when on intermittent. The other settings (normal and fast) worked as expected with both relays. I checked and cleaned the control box on the wiper motor as well, although I didnt't see anything usual. The motor is only a couple of years old. Any ideas on what is going, so I can try to fix this? Thanks.
