Small leak. What is this part (pics inside) 900

Hi all,
Here is where I show how little I know about cars. I have been doing a lot of work on my car lately and have been under the car quite a bit. When I was down there I noticed a leak. Check out the pictures here:

This part eventually connects up with the front right wheel. The one on the opposite side is bone dry. What is this part and how would I (or a mechanic) take care of the leak?
