or even fun because it was so easy.
Not too long ago I finally got around to changing the 7/64" vacuum hose that connects to the check valve and vacuum canister underneath the dash. The job sounds easy enough, just plug tubing here and there, but what made me worry a bit was threading the tubing through the firewall and into the interior. I thought this was gonna be tricky because the clutter on the other side of the firewall. It turned out all I had to do was push the vacuum tubing into the rubber gromet on the firewall and just gently push it through until I could see the other end from the inside of the dash. I didn't even have to remove the rubber gromet. It was so easy. Dave Shannon's page was very helpful.
Another one is removing the instrument cluster to change the odo gear. I felt so comfortable after taking the cluster out that a month or two later I did it again to add a big tach and change the two main cluster bulbs.
Worthy mention is ATF flush. Before I thought this job was for the pros, and I paid a handsome sum for this job once. Everyone here says it's easy and I was persuaded to get the iPd flush kit. Followed the steps and it was one of the easiest and cleanest job--whoever said you can do this while wearing a tux wasn't kidding! It's actually easier than an oil change, come to think of it.
Anyone have jobs you thought were difficult or might be difficult but turned out to be a piece of cake?
