Hood insulation 200 1984

Hi folks,

While soundproofing my car I used a Dynamat clone called eDead. On top of that in the foot wells, inside the rear doors and in other places I used a product called Thermwell Duct Insulation that is sold at HomeDepot for about $15 per roll. I like that product. It is made of some relatively thick (in comparison to Dynamat) foam rubber with an auto-adhesive side and foil backing on the other side. It is made to wrap around ducts and quiet them down as well as provide some heat insulation.

I was wondering if anyone knows that product and if that type of stuff could withstand enough heat and be safely used as under-hood insulation. I have a bit of that left.

Thanks!
