Final update: After five days with no problems, I'm going to assume that the fuel relay was the problem. My daughter's 90 245 had died and restarted 4 or 5 times in one 24-hour period. As per Brickboard suggestions, we got a new relay and no problems since. Thanks again.

Also, thanks again to Peters Auto Works in Tigard, Oregon, for treating my daughter respectfully and professionally when they sold her the relay and installed it for her.
