Question on download of Volvo960brick97repairinfofile from geocities 900 1997

When I read the post which contained the information on steps to download this manual I decided to do it.

Now I cannot locate that post.

I have downloaded it following the steps I wrote down, but cannot finish the job to where it can be printed.

It said:

1. Go to http://www.geocities.com/volvo960brick97/repairinfo.html

2. Since geocities will download only a certain amount daily, I had to try it several times over many days to get on, so I assume other folks have been successful.

3. Finally success, did the next step. Got the message as in the post said "Here you will find a self-extracting password protected zip. file for repair info for the 1997 Volvo 960" link. Instructions said to reight click, I did that.

4.Then select "Save target as..." and I had made a folder named Volvo 960 1997 Repair Info.jpg" Clicked to begin, finished in 2 hours.

5. The instructions say that after download change the .jpg to .exe and click.

6. That I cannot do. The file is in a Easyshare.jpg that will not open, saying that the file is damaged or corrupted.

I AM STUCK

Somehow I must open the file code to change the .jpg to .exe. Or it there some other method to do that?

The original instructions provided a password, I wrote it down, but no place did the information from geocities ever ask for a password. Perhaps there is a step that I did not get to?

My computer skills seem minimal, and this AOL 5.0 on dial-up is not very fast.

ANY ideas you have will be most welcome.

Thank you,

Bob
