vinylex applied to interior of '82 produces strange, unpleasant smell

applied lexol vinylex to old plastic, rubber, and vinyl in 1982 240. result was an odd fish-like smell. hope it dissipates by the morn. my wife complained of it as well... so not just my schnoz.

anyone experienced this?
