Advice on purchase of 940 turbo?? 900

Greetings to you 940 experts and DIY'ers

I am currently looking at a low mileage (under 60K) 94 940 turbo priced at $4500
It is a southern car and appears in stellar condition but a long way away from
home and my ability to evaluate it. I have had many Volvos currently a 740 Gl that just had a head gasket rebuilt with valve job at 140K

Apparently there were a couple of different versions of the B230 turbo engine but I do not understand the difference??

I know the turbo charged cars require more maintenance and know the 940 is really a stretched and improved version of the 740. The interior and exterior are near perfect but no service records available. Nothing seems amiss and I already know how to go through these cars due to having fixed everything imaginable on the 740.
Unfortunately I am far too far from the car (East Coast) to check it out personally and can only go by pics and description from dealer who is honest but cannot provide specifics...

I am hoping this car is better sound insulated than the 740 series and the turbo charged 4 will provide power similar to my BMW E36 with its big straight six cylinder. That car has not cost me anything to maintain is almost 3 years of ownership and now 60K miles...

Can anyone provide any advice on whether this price seems reasonable or things to have checked specifically??
Thanks for any insight this board is great!!
