Knowing that the older model manual transmission (M46) is an overdrive unit. The overdrive will only engage in 4th gear. There is a solenoid that prevents the overdrive unit for energizing unless in 4th. So you already know the question. WHAT IF you disconnected the solenoid. Will it work in all gears. Can I have a basicaly split unit tranny? Are the planetary gears strong enough to substain that much of a load on them in the first 3 gears? Will it explode as I reach the higher RPM's around 80 MPH, to such an effect that I will go out in a flame of glory?? Tell me please..I like Glory..>>Max:>)////Yep it's bed time..
