What are peoples favorite method of keeping the license plate light assemblies in place on the tailgate. I installed new ones just a few years ago and now that the foam gaskets are drying out, the plastic clip on one side of the light and the metal "spring" clip on the other side of the light no longer are quite in the right place to hold the assembly in there. Do people just use a little silicone sealant? Any other methods people have tried. I tried making a replacement foam gasket to see if the metal spring clips part would be in the right place in order to put enough tension on the assembly to keep in in place, but that didn't really seem to work.
