Cracked B20 Head- Where To Go From Here? 120-130

I finally found a good machine shop (Scroggins Machine) in Houston and brought my B20 head in for what I thought would be a simple valve job with hardened exhaust valve seats installed.

It turns out the head is cracked and that the previous repair was done poorly. The owner of the shop suggested that I find another head because the repair he could do would not be solid for him to stand behind.

I've heard putting a B18 head on a B20 can be done, but is not recommended, so my two known-to-be-good spare B18 heads are going to sit until I can find use for them or find someone willing to trade for a B20 head.

Texas is not exactly overflowing with old Volvo's, so I may just put in the B18 out of my parts car and hope a B20 head turns up one day.

Any ideas on what to do to prepare the b20 block to sit in the corner of my garage? I've been keeping it covered with a few trash bags tightly secured to the top and spraying it down with WD-40 since I pulled the head, but that seems like a lot of work for an engine that may sit out for months or longer...

Thanks all.
