'95 960 'Auto Down' driver's window problem 900

I have a '95 960 sedan with a problem in the driver's window switch/relay system. The regulator seems to work fine going up and down, but there seems to be a problem between the switch and the relay such that it is difficult to get the window to go up.

I thought that the problem was the switch, so I removed the switch and measured the resistance in the up and down states. The switch seemed to be working so I plugged it in and tried it with the window regulator, and it displayed the same behaviour; you have to repeatedly push the 'up' function before the window would go up.

Then I opened the switch up and too a look inside. I saw that the contacts on the 'up' side were oxidized, and somewhat cavitated on the stationary contact. I cleaned this up an put it back together and still got the same results.

I am concerned about the relay now, since I measure the 'ON' resistance to be a few tenths of an Ohm including the lead resistance. If the contacts were oxidized, maybe the relay is drawing too much current. A relay shouldn't require much current to switch the relay contacts.

Has anyone had any experience with troubleshooting this "Auto Down" window feature?
