89-240 ECU mystery 200

I'm trouble shooting a "no start" problem with my 89-240. The car hasn't ran for 3 years, excellent shape in and out, just won't start. Original owner had it diagnosed, and it came up as a fuel injector or LH ECU problem. Since I've had it, I've ran all Injection system electrical tests based on Bentley troubleshooting.

Here's what I've found.

Injectors appear not to be getting a ground from the ECU. With the original LH ECU I don't get an LED light at the diagnostic unit at all. So I don't have a fault reading. Also, with original ECU, the EZ-116K gave a "no fault" readout at the diagnostic unit.

I replaced the ECU (with a used one). With this ECU, I get a constant LED light at the diagnostic unit, and an ignition fault code of 144-"Load signal missing (from LH control unit). Control unit assumes the engine is at full load."
With both ECU's the injectors are not grounded.

Do I have 2- bad ECU's? Is this a problem with the ECU injector drivers?
The whole business is getting beyond me.
I have learned that the Pink labeled ECU has had problems. Are those problems related to the Injector driver.

I can resurrect a very nice 240, if I can get this solved. Anyone have any experience or thoughts on this?

Steve
