Am having Volvo 940 GL model & am the second owner of the car;driving it since 2004.I used the original parts however;
I felt something is not right especially on the engine tuning.

1.Firstly, I found the driving become very very very smooth during the night or cold whether & become rough during the day.
I have serviced my IAC/Throttle Body and changed the kits as well; serviced the Air Mass but no improvement.
Also recently I have done my timing belt servicing it goes for all other belts and found another problem arise;which was an noise like "nock"/"nock"/"nock"
this happen after I start up the engine, its kinda loud and it goes down after the engine get warmed up but its still there.
Before I do my timing belt services I have checked all the bearing and their are fine but this problem is something new and its very recent after the belt change.
Also I confirm its not the belt noise.


2.The engine always swinging
I dont know whether Volvo architured the engine to be that way but sometimes the it produce vibration that gets to body of the car and you can feel the car itself shaking.
I wonder why. I have change the engine mounting to original ones but the problem still there so I asked the mechanic he told me its normal.
I cant believe this. And if you compare this with Japanesse cars this never happen......nor Mercedes
So have you experince this before and anyone have gone thru this pain.......pls share with me.....

3.The engine timing
I notice the RPM idle always fluctuate between 900 ~ 1000 and never stick to one rating.
Example 900 rpm. If you compare with Japanesse Car or event Mercedes ; once the car started the idle stay as 800 and never fluctuate. Eventhought you turn on the air cond or lights or car stereo but my car does have fluctuate and I felt is not comfortable in a way......

Does this incidate there is problem or it was design in such a way ????
