Hi All. I am having a most terrible time with the braking system of the car. Firstly, the front left cylinder was replaced.
A short while after, whenever i pushed the brake pedal there was a sort of clicking noise from the front left of the car(push rods maybe-dont know). Then i decided to replace the other 3 cylinders and the Master Cylinder. BANG. The garage guys could not bleed the brakes. Just couldn't get the air out. maybe the air was just going back in.
The M-Cylinder(NEW) started eventually to spew out brake fluid from the piston end. What are the chances of this happening.
When a new M-cylinder is fitted, is there something specific that must be done(i.e. brake fluid in the chamber of the M-C to lubricate it) before fitting. The seals seemed to collapse so it seems. Or, did the garage guys do something wrong when initially bleeding the brakes. On the second bleed they clamped the front two hoses before bleeding the rear cylinders???????.
PLEASE someone tell me what is happening. How is the system bled after M-C and other cylinders are changed over. (4 new cylinders and NEW M-C).
Thanking you in Advance
