I have a 1989 Volvo DL. The rack and pinion is leaking. But the steering is very smooth. I'm gonna get under the car to inspect it. Could it just be the boots that needs to be replaced. Any special things that I should look for? I have access to to a good salvage yard. And this weekend is half price weekend. So I can score a good used one for cheap. But I would really like to avoid the extra labor. Any tips would be really cool.
