I have a couple of things going on with my 1991 240 wagon. Leaking some oil, leaking some transmission fluid. Mechanic says transmission needs to be resealed which will also take care of the rear main seal at the same time. I hope I have that right. Cost is $735.00.
They are telling me it isn't an emergency. Cat litter does a wonderful job on the residue and I check it frequently.
Any reason I can't put this off until I get richer?????
Belts were also making a little noise. Recommended a "belt service" to the tune of $423.00.
And, does $424.00 sound like a fair price for the oil pan seal if I have to get that done at some point?
I appreciate your continued patience.
