Help!!! Lug nut won't come off! 200 1992

I just was in the middle of a brake job and went to loosen the lugs on the rear of the car. I had difficulty with one and really put some pressure on it to get it off. Now the lug nut is almost off the stud but spinning in one spot and won't back out any further. Please let me know what I should do to get it the rest of the way off. Many thanks!
