Engine/tranny stand advice 200

I am planning on swapping engine/transmission assemblies between two identical cars this weekend. I've never done this before, but through research am trying to limit the number of surprises I'm going to run into.

I have access to one engine hoist and a leveller (which I'm told I'll need to get the engine/tranny out as a single unit), but need some advice on how to suport the engine/tranny outside the car once I pull it, while I swap the other one in.

Can anyone who has done this give me some advice?
