Ac not so sold/ where is the low pressure port 200 1989

Hello, I have a 89 240 and the ac is not so cold, I hear the compressor come on. where is the low pressure port on the system. I see a large port next to the radiator on the pasenger side, i think that is the high pressure port? any help would be great, I assume I have r-12. how do I convert to r-134?
