I've got me a problem. A few days ago, my brother's Brick, a 1984 245dL, killed itz battery after spending an hour or so with itz Ac on. I don't know if having the ac on killed the battery or what. And I've been having charging troubles with this car alot!!!! I scheduled an appointment with a mechanic and he looked at the charging system, but didn't find anything wrong after I'd put in a new battery. He checked the charge at the battery and said it was puting out about 13vlts. I was very skeptical, because I know the car with hold 13vlts for a day or so after it gets a new battery, but then it drops to about 12.5 and this afternoon it was about 12 to 12.1volts. Gentlemen, help!! This darn brick is driving me up the wall!!! I've changed the alternator like three times in the last six months and am getting sick of doing that!! I believe itz a standard 55amph alternator. And I'm thinking maybe a 70amp would help, but my old man tells me that wouldn't fix the actual problem. So yea, any help would be appreciated, cause right now I'm about ready to set fire to the darn thing! (Mind you I'm just rather irritable right now and will regain my cool after a few minutes away from said brick). Thanks again all!
