Rebuilding AC Compressor 700

I have a compressor that a local hydraulic shop is testing/rebuilding for me quite inexpensively. However, they are having no luck sourcing the seal for the main shaft just behind the clutch assy. Any ideas that I could relay to them. The bearings are good and the car is from upstate NY (minimal use), and I hate to trash a usable compressor. Thanks.
