Engine eratic and running rich (black smoke) 900

Not all times but Engine runs eratic and rich (black smoke)some times, I've noticed after a fuel fillup it runs the worst, if I keep the level under half of so the problem hardly happens, any ideas what could cause this, i've replaced the oxygen sensor and power pack modules.
