Tried to fix Temp comp board; no gas guage, no dash lights, no fix no how 200 1990

By-passed temerature compensation board by taking it out and soldering 1 & 3. Double-checked connections, all seem fine (in addition to above, the blinker lights stay on when headlights on). Temp also seems to run high, as far as that, I guess I'll try new thermostat (but I replaced it 2 yrs and 20,000 miles ago). Main concern now is getting back dash lights and gas guage. TIA
