I NEED SOME GOOD INPUT. I PURCHASED A 1984 242 WITH A CHEVY 350
AUTOMATIC, BUILDER SET THE CAR UP AS A SORT OF STREET ROD. AUTO TRANS
IS SET UP FOR RACING, NICE, BUT I AM PAST THE DRAG RACE STAGE. I NEED
TO CHANGE TO A MILDER T-CONVERTER OR GO TO 5 SPEED MANUAL?
IN PUT NEEDED IS WHAT TRANS 5-SPD FITS UNDER A 242 AND BOLTS TO A
EARLY CAMERO 350? ALSO, WHAT TO DO ABOUT THE CLUTCH PEDAL SET-UP?
MAYBE SOMEONE DID THIS ALREADY?? MAYBE SOMEONE HAS ALL THE PARTS I NEED?
JUST THINKING ABOUT SETTING HER UP FOR MORE CRUISING VS. OFF THE LINE.
GUESS I AM GETTING OLDER, GREAT CAR OTHER WISE,GREAT WORK DONE AND I
LOVE THE CAR, JUST WANT TO CONTROL HER BETTER WITH A CLUTCH AND BE ABLE TO
DRIVE HER ALITTLE MORE TO NORMAL. ANY INPUT WOULD BE GREAT.
