What sort of oil pressure is typical in push rod american v8s? my 72 pontiac 400 varies a lot. in cold weather while the oil is thick it can be 50-60psi. when it is warmed the pressure is down to 5-10psi at idle (700rpms or so) and 20-30psi at highway speeds (80mph @ 3500rpms).
