dash board -what fits what years 200

A BrickBoard faithful has a dash available & I got dibbs.

Question: will a earlier dash board (pre 86) fit a 1990?

I thought to fit the pre 86 dash it would require a change of the bolster and plastic around the column & ignition.

Is that correct?

A pre 86 dash IS NOT a direct fit without the above extra parts?
