When I turn on the lights both fuses 15 and 16 (the bottom two) blow. I'm guessing this is part of the reason my dash illumination lights won't work because they run off of Fuse 16.(warning lights all work on dash). Should I try replaceing the whole piece that holds the lights knob and dimmer? Someone mentioned something about jumping the wires for the dimmer to see if that was the problem. Can that control knob have a short?

I've swapped a bulb failure relay and that didn't do anything. I can have just the fuse 16 in and it won't blow. I put 15 in and turn on the lights and they both blow. With 16 in, my right tail lights work. My left blow out with fuse 15. Something to do with the left tail light assembly? I'll try to swap it with a good used I've got in the parents garage.

Strange thing last night when I realized this extended problem of having tail lights out. The two lights on top (center tail lights) worked. So I still had lights even though the fuses blew. A safety measure by Volvo running the lights off the brake lights? Although I couldn't see them on today. I might be without a car after sunset.
