turbo intermittently runs rich 700

Hi all, I need some advice -

My 89' 740 t has intermittent times when it will run really rich under boost. As soon as the boost guage gets into the yellow, the car will bog down and emit a screen of black smoke. The thing is it happens for about three to fours days on end, then is fine for a month or so before reoccurring.

I know that boost leaks cause these problems but are they intermittent like this? I have replaced numerous vacuum lines, both intercooler hoses on the boost side of the turbo were replaced when i swapped the 89 intercooler for the 92 style with e-fan. After replacing vacuum lines with stylin motors silocone ones, the car ran rich for about 30 miles and has run fine since. I have also tryed to disconnect the O2 sensor when problem exists with no change.

Does anybody have any other solutions or help with the problem? I want to get this fixed.

I appreciate all comments,

brant
