Still... hard shifting I'm very puzzled. 140-160

Hi, recently I have had to adjust my clutch several times over the past month. (see several posts). I pulled the transmission and installed a new clutch last weekend, also pulled the cable and checked as best I could. When putting in the new clutch I noticed:
A). the fork against the throwout bearing was/is very tight with no little bit of free play and
B). the cable has to beadjusted all the way to the end inorder to be able to activate, (engage/disengage) the clutch
I know something is wrong but can not figure out what. Obviously I am missing something....and it is driving me nuts!

I have done clutches before, the pressure plate bolts with 6 bolts directly to the flywheel with the disc caught in between centered with the little plastic spline tool. The bell housing goes back on with the throwout bearing in the clutch fork and it's "bearing" surface rests on the spring "fingers" of the pressure plate. The transmission goes back in with the shaft into the pilot bearing and bolt it all up.
Why is my throwout bearing/clutch fork so tight against the pressure plate?
I tested the pivot and looked at the fork all seemed Ok?


The only other thing I can think of is that I changed my broken and worn motor and transmission mounts to 164 motor mounts. But this should not affect it.
I am going to go back and put in a 140 tranny mount just in case, but why?
btw it is a M41.
any advice would be greatly appreciated!
