finished product. i dynomat-ed the inside roof with two layers. also, had to cut the wires for the dome light since i could not get the conectors off the light terminals. simply used barrel connectors to put it back together. i also love the off white plastic (painted) around the rear view mirrow, never seen one that wasn't totally yellow.

window out. note the channel, nice & clean. in case i need back up, got patrick & spongebob riding in the back.

here, if you can see the red arrow, is what happens when you do a better job wraping the edges than Volvo did. when you do fabric, the edges will present an issue or two. first, NOTHING sticks to the back of the headliner board. volvo used staples. my staple gun was not in the house. tip of the day: a regular stapler worked like a real charm & provided GREAT/EXCELLENT results. to finish everything, i'll find some door edging or maybe use a piece of vacuum hose (which i can paint using adhesion promoter as the foundation) to hide the newly created gap around the sun roof. moreover, i did not want to pull the sun roof & thought the panel would simply slide out. not happening without disassembly & possibly resetting the electric motor & cables. since i'm an artist, i plan on painting the sun roof panel in the same pattern. i'll flexible prime, base coat, hand paint, and satin polyurethane it. but, i also like the way the sun roof panel looks now -other than the scuff marks i cant remove.

in this photo, i wanted to point out about the opportunity to clean behind the rubber seal at the base of the window (and dash) & around the vents & vin plate. also, i was able to nicely tape off the few cracks in my dash and fill the gaps with black caulk (all with tremendous ease) due to the fact the window was out and i could do it from above. another arrow is pointing to the clean edge -done with paint thinner, a chip brush, a box of rags, and the elbo grease of two ho's :-)

all i can say: the 1993 (new) style window is the $hit. it completely changes the way the car looks. worth every dime. i also sanded, cleaned, primed, and painted the wiper arms. and, the wipers just glide on the fresh "vidrio" (spanish for glass). plus, the new glass, inside and out, gives me total wood.
my friend, with a 1500 hp 1966 GTO, drove his beast by to check it out & give me a blue light bulb -for the dome light. very funny & way cool.
