I just had to post, in case someone else is going through a similar ordeal.
First of all, I want to thank those who responded to my inital post.
You encouraged me to not give up! I'm grateful for your support.
For those who don't know, my previous post detailed months of going back and forth from import shop to import shop, and dealer to dealer looking for answers to the trouble codes that kept popping on and off and getting no real solutions. On top of that, my car was running in limp mode, which made it more frustrating. All this started after I had my timing belt changed, the coolant flushed plus the oil changed at an independent volvo dealer.
WELL, I have excellent news!! My car is fixed now, thanks to the help of some mechanics at a local transmission shop. The problem? They found a wire disconnected in the fuse box under the hood.
Now, that fuse box is clasped down (as you all know) and I'd hate to guess how it got disconnected; but this much I will say, those guys didn't charge me a cent to discover the problem and it didn't take days for them to figure it out either...just an hour or two.
Woohooo!!! Somebody light up the grill! This is cause for a real celebration! My car is alive and running despite the abuse. I know now who will service my car and who won't be servicing my car. Live and learn....
