Shifter moving on it's own 900 1994

I just recently purchased a 1994 940. I've been fixing the few issues the car had that I knew were problems. But as I've been driving the car more, I been noticing a new set of problems... but I'm not entirely sure they are problems or just normal for the 940's.

As the car accelerates/decelerates two things happen:
- the shifter (which is locked into D) moves slightly within it's position (not loose, but connected to a larger momentum.)
- I feel can feel a delay in the momentum coming from the engine (or transition) whenever I change speeds

I know that the hydraulic mounts will give to some tension, but how much? Is it normal for the shifter to move whenever I change momentum?

Thanks for the help,

Josh
