What do you think about the 240 manual tranny? 200

I'm looking at a 1990 240DL w/manual tranny. It has a new clutch and it is being sold by a dealer/repair shop. The car is extremely clean for its age and mileage (156K). They are asking $4500. Cosmetically, it needs nothing, even the leather seats still look good.

However, I am concerned about the manual tranny. All 240s I have seen so far have been automatics. I prefer a stick shift and was starting to think about another marque but this one became available. Should I give it a second look-see or run away from a 240 w/manual transmission? Thanks.
