I am wanting a 5 speed in my car. I am thinking about a T9 tranny swap. I contacted the guys at vintage performance, and they said the T5 will not fit without tranny tunnel modifications, and I don't want to do that. So the T9 is the my option. They siad unless I am going over 180-200 HP, it should be fine. And with my stock B20, the T9 should be adaquate.
Now to the questions: Has anyone done the swap? and do you have any pointers or opinions about it.
And does anyone know what cars to look for with this tranny? I searched the web and could not find a list of cars. I know the Merkur XRTi has it, and maybe some 4 cylinder mustangs. If someone knows of a way to lookup which cars had the tranny, that would help.
