Hi all,
Just bought my son a 1992 240 sedan w/auto tranny last night after two years of shopping. Thanks for all the advice so far. With your help, I think we got a good car for a fair price (very good to excellent cosmetics, purchased from the dealer that serviced the car from 1997 on with records - $4995 w/107k on the odometer).
Anyway, my son and I will be servicing the car ourselves. Sort of like the bling leading the blind really. He doesn't know the first thing about cars, doesn't yet have his license. And I've really only started working on my own cars in the past year. So, I am in search of good manuals. I've just ordered the Bentley's manual on Amazon but I keep reading about the "green book" here on Brickboard. Which book is that and who sells it? Besides these two, should I invest in other books?
Lastly, I just bought a couple of oil filters, oil drain plug seals, air filters and the assortment of belts. Is there anything we should keep in the car for just in case repairs on the road?
Thanks again for all your help so far!
