Hi, this on a 2001 V70 XC, please comment on blower fan trouble as possible cause of Low Battery Voltage warning.
This week I got a "Low Battery Voltage" warning 15 minutes into my commute.
Volvo service replaced the battery and says the charging system is working fine.
I drove away happy, then 15 min later turned on A/C & fan, and then 30 seconds later, Low Battery Voltage warning again. I turned off the A/C & fan, and the warning went away. Then I turned on the fan only... and warning reappeared, so I turned fan off, and warning went away.
After arriving home (A/C & fan off for the remaining 5 min of commute),
in my driveway, I experimented some more.
I was unable to trigger the Low Battery Voltage warning by turning on more lamps, high-beams, power windows, & electric-heated window defroster.
But after returning those to normal and turning on the blower fan (without A/C), in 20 seconds the Warning reappeared. This time, though, turning off the fan did not clear the message :(
Any comments or related experiences? Thanks,
John Ruckstuhl
