A bit of info for 760 owners 700 1989

On my 89 760 I have been in need for a cowl for a long time, missed a couple of ops to get a good one ...just happened.

All the ones I had found in a pull a part were either busted, or when I tried to take them off (say a 90 model 760 I found recently) there were so fragile and brittle it busted, even being careful.

Well I found a shell of a 95 960, and the cowl looked the same, except it did not have the 8 small screws that went from one side to the other. I had been told by some junk yards that the 960 part would not work.

Well, it does. Forget the small screws that on an 89 go to some elaborately overdone ..something - regarding the rubber seal, I think. I just put the cowl from the 960 on my 89 760 the same way it was mounted on the 960, and all is well.

Also because it is newer, it was in good shape.

Hope this helps a 760 owner. :)
