Diagnosing a bad IAC 200 1991

I think my IAC is on the verge of death. I've had problems before and traced them to the IAC and other stuff, but when replacing the other (Cheaper) stuff the problems have gone away. Two weeks ago I cleaned the flame trap and TB. I swapped in an IAC from the junk yard, but it turns out it was more dead.

So how can I diagnose a dying IAC? How about a dying AMM? And where is a good source for replacements (not the junk yard).
