92 automatic wagon.

the shift release button inset into the shifter will not depress once in a while and ONLY the first time i start the car and try to shift on any given day. after i use the release override button this issue never recurs again during that day and often for many days thereafter.

as i said this is a once in a while issue.

i have an extra working neutral safety switch i can install.

are there any other suspects to look at while i am mulling this over?

over drive relay?

the over drive button and shifting works as it should.
