Need some advice. Have a 92 740 series wagon. Has 200,000 miles on it. Had rotor,dist cap,fuel filter etc all replaced at 150,000 miles. I do not have access to engine code analizer to obtain info on engine service codes. With that said, I am having a hard start problem, and rough idle until engine "warms" up. The car would not start a day ago, but finally got it started after my wife "gave it some gas" and had to keep the pedal somewhat despressed to keep the car going. Once it warmed for a few minutes, it ran fine. The car sat for 2 days. I got in it, started right up, but rough idle, and rocked a bit for a minute or two. I did replace spark plugs, and tonight will look for any bad plug wires. Does this sound like dirty injectors? If it were a fuel pump, and wouldn't think it would have started this morning with no problem after sitting for 2 days? I will check to see condition of cap and rotor, but anyone have an idea how long they last on these rear mounted distributors? Also, how would I know if fuel pump relay was bad? By the way, the gas gauge reads 1/8 to 1/4 of a tank. Any help would be appreciated? THANKS.
